EHCC Launches Franchise Package after Successful Pilot 

As you’re probably aware, Extra Help has been running as a home-help and domestic cleaning franchise network for ten years now. We currently have thirty-three franchisees and hundreds of satisfied customers across the country. 
 
Building on this success, and in response to many requests, we decided to launch Extra Help Commercial Cleaning in 2019. From the beginning, it has always been our intention to franchise the business, in the same way as we had done with Extra Help, and our highly successful Milton Keynes franchisees, Michaela and Rod Nowik, became our pilot franchisees. 
 
Originally from corporate backgrounds, Michaela and Rod bought their original Extra Help franchise nearly two years ago and, with our help and guidance, have built an extremely lucrative business, despite neither having owned a business before. Their desire to grow the business and diversify into the commercial cleaning sector made them the ideal, pilot franchisees and we are delighted by the success they have achieved to date. 
Michaela and Rod are now running both franchises simultaneously and have been providing us with regular feedback on their progress, informing us of any stumbling blocks or issues they encounter along the way, to ensure our business model is perfect and future franchisees will benefit from the lessons they’ve learnt. 
 
Extra Help Commercial Cleaning is now at the stage where we are able to offer our franchise opportunity to more hard-working and highly motivated individuals who are looking to run a commercial cleaning business with the support and guidance of an established and trustworthy brand. 

What does the franchise package include? 

We have worked hard to design a package that will enable future franchisees to grow their own, successful businesses, like Michaela and Rod’s. They will receive access to our tried-and-tested business model; their own, exclusive territory in which to operate their businesses; full training (including BICS accredited and Health & Safety training); TUPE and HR / Employment Law support; complimentary business insurance for the first year; web page within our corporate site and email address, marketing support and collateral. 

Who are we looking for? 

Extra Help Commercial Cleaning is a service-orientated business based on high moral standards. We aim to create a network of highly-motivated franchisees across the country who will represent our brand professionally and uphold our high values. 
 
You must have no criminal record and be committed to providing a top-quality, consistent and highly professional service. 
 
In addition to this, you need to be the type of person who wants to run a managerial franchise, with your primary objective being to concentrate on growing the business. 

As Rod says: 

“There are 2 types of franchisees. Firstly, there are the ones who are do-ers and happy to get involved in whatever it takes to get the business up and running initially, but their ultimate aim is to manage the franchise, like Michaela and myself. In the beginning we were out in the rain delivering leaflets, running around delivering equipment to the staff etc., doing whatever was needed to help the business succeed. Now, the hard work has paid off and we’ve been able to take a step back, which is what we wanted. 
 
The other type of franchisee is the one who is quite happy doing the day-to-day work themselves and wants to be completely hands-on. Managerial people would be better suited to this type of franchise. They don’t necessarily need the management experience, just the willingness to take a step back, when the time is right, and focus on growing the business.”
